WAYS TO BE A BETTER PERSON AND BE HAPPY

Everyone wants to become a better person, but some people just don’t know how. At the end of each day, we like to reflect and see what we can do to become a better person. Not only that, but we have a goal of leaving an imprint on the world for doing great things. By setting aside some time each day to reflect on what behaviours were good and bad, we have the opportunity to grow.

1. Willingness to change

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself”-Leo Tolstoy

Everybody might say they want to change. But few are actually willing. In order to become a better person, you have to be willing to change. Change is the only way to grow and progress into the person you want to become. Many people are against change, which can make it very hard to grow.

When you keep an open mind and are willing to change, you are able to grow into the person you want to become.

2 . Stop making excuses

“Maturity comes when you stop making excuses and start making changes’. We make excuses every time something went wrong. We blame others, or anyone else involved in that action with us. However, we would never like to blame yourself for things that went wrong. Instead, we should learn to take accountability for our own mistakes is extremely important and we should stop making excuses, take the blame when it was truly your fault, and will able to achieve so much more. By understanding that we made a mistake, we are able to use our mistakes to learn which in turn helped us to become a better person.

3. Stop being angry

“Anger does not solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything”. Many people let anger and rage alter their decision-making skills. An angry person as I saw damages all relationships with people and increase his own blood pressure. We all experience anger in our lives. Uncontrolled anger, however, can create problems in our relationships and even with our health. All of this can lead to more stress and additional problems, complicating life and keeping us from being our best selves. That’s why learning to manage and eventually let go of anger is so important to becoming a better person.

Controlling anger is an extremely difficult skill to master, but it is very beneficial. Instead of getting angry, we should find a way to change our negative emotion. Staying angry doesn’t help us or solve any problems; it only creates more of them.

4. Be a role model

“If you can’t find a good role model be one”-Gale Anne Hurd. Sometimes, you need to be a role model to someone to really get your act together. Once you became a entrepreneur and people started to look up to you, you should became a lot more cautious about the way yo behave. No one want to disappoint people by showing they are immature or a bad role model. You can be a role model not only to your children but also to the society . No matter what you choose to do, always make decisions that the person looking up to you will respect

5.Forgiveness

“Forgiveness is the power that breaks the chain of bitterness and anger”. Forgiving someone who hurt you is very difficult to do. When you got upset at someone for doing something, you could never forgive them. Even if it was a petty thing, you would hold it against them for the rest of their lives which was not healthy.

We should learn that humans are prone to make mistakes. Instead of holding mistakes against them for life, try to forgive someone. To become a better person, go through your past and forgive someone that did something to hurt you. To forgive others forgive yourself for all your Faults.

6. Listen to learn

“When you talk you are only repeating what you already know. But when you listen, you may learn something new”-Dalai Lama

People are extremely busy with their careers, families, and lives. Everyone is in a rush, but people rarely ever have time to listen to what others have to say. Listening to people and giving everyone a voice is one of the greatest things you can do. When we meet some of the most amazing people, close some of the biggest deals, and develop connections that will last for a lifetime if we take time to listen to people.

7. Be honest

“If you want to be trusted be honest”. Honesty is, in fact, primarily a moral choice. most of us choose virtues because we want to believe in ourselves and have others trust us and respect us. Honest people are hard to come by nowadays. However, honesty is the best remedy for any situation. Promise yourself that you won’t tell any lies for a month straight. Challenge yourself to be honest by developing good habits.

8. Do something that you never tried to do.

“If you want something you never had, you have to do something you never did”. Keeping an open mind and trying things that you wouldn’t normally do is a very easy way to become a better person. Take a risk and challenge yourself to try something you’ve always been scared to do. You’ll only live your best life once you step out. If you are terrified of roller coasters, However we would never experience roller coasters unless we are willing to get over our fear and try it. Taking it as challenges do something you never did.

9. Surprise someone

“Surprise someone everyday”. One of the most rewarding feelings in the world are knowing that you made someone smile. Surprise the special someone in your life by doing something out of the ordinary for U them!

10. Express gratitude

“Gratitude makes sense of your past, bring peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow”-Melody Beastie. Feeling grateful is one thing but, telling it to others is great .sharing your feelings of gratitude is a positive character, which helps to maintain healthy relationships. Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude .Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words, while gratitude is shown in acts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence

Finally, it is important to take a little time for yourself. This can mean journaling and meditation, or it can come in the form of exercise or even watching re-runs at home. This is particularly important for introverts, but everyone needs some time to themselves, at least sometimes. All these things can help us to be better versions of ourselves. 

The beauty of this is that as we do the work to become a better friend, partner, and family member, it can also be a path to becoming a better person.
